Frequent voiding is usually caused by one of two things:
Bladder irritation can be caused by bladder infection. As women get older they don't always have all of the usual symptoms of a bladder infection such as burning with peeing and pain. It is worthwhile having your doctor test your urine for infection. If you have an infection, treating it with antibiotics will often get rid of the symptoms of "frequency" and "urgency". Many beverages will cause bladder irritation. Eliminating caffeine from your diet often helps very much. For other advice about changes in your diet see 'Lifestyle Guidelines'.
